About APTHS

Since its establishment in 2000, the society has worked to advance travel medicine and strengthen collaboration
among professionals across the Asia-Pacific region

The Asia Pacific Travel Health Society (APTHS) is a regional network of travel medicine practitioners that promotes and protects the health of travelers by advancing travel medicine and related disciplines in the Asia Pacific region.

The main activities of the APTHS are the biennial conferences, and promotion of travel medicine in the region, including courses and meetings.

Following three successful Asia-Pacific travel medicine conferences, the society was formed in 2000 in Bali.  In response to the growing regional interest in travel medicine, conferences continue to be held every two years in various locations in the Asia-Pacific region.
